CRISIS HOTLINE

escape

The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois (VPCSWI) provides a 24 hour crisis helpline/hotline to answer calls from the Illinois Domestic Violence Help Line and others for immediate crisis intervention and counseling services.

The primary purpose of the crisis hotline is to provide crisis intervention that meets the urgent physical and emotional needs of survivors of domestic violence. Other important services provided on the hotline can include collecting information for the survivor's intake, assisting with developing a safety plan for the survivor, explaining program services, counseling the survivor,  or providing information and referrals. All crisis hotline services may also be provided through face-to-face crisis walk-in services.
